Moosilauke Counseling Solutions: Growing to Meet the Mental Health Needs of Our Community

As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month this May, we’re reflecting on the growth and mission of Moosilauke Counseling Solutions - a vision that took root just over a year ago in downtown Hanover, New Hampshire. Born from a clear need to improve access to quality mental health care in the Upper Valley, our practice was founded with a simple but powerful commitment: to ensure that individuals and families who rely on insurance benefits can access both psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management without facing financial barriers.

What began as a solo endeavor, just a psychiatric nurse practitioner providing medication management, has quickly grown into a thriving, multidisciplinary team. In our first year, we proudly welcomed our Clinical Director and two talented therapists. And we’re thrilled to share that by the end of this summer we will be welcoming an additional therapist to our team.

Our growth is not just about numbers - it’s about deepening the quality and accessibility of care. Moosilauke Counseling Solutions offers a wide array of therapeutic services delivered by experienced, compassionate clinicians. Our team is trained in multiple evidence-based modalities, including:

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

• Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

• Treatment for Avoidant and Restrictive Eating Behaviors

• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue investing in the future of mental health care by actively recruiting graduate interns and candidates for licensure in both social work and clinical mental health counseling. We offer qualified supervision for both groups and have developed strong partnerships with local colleges and universities to serve as a training site. Supporting the next generation of clinicians is central to our mission of building sustainable, community-centered care.
